The New Seven Wonders : Vote!

The New7Wonders Foundation was created in 2001 by  Bernard Weber,a swiss adventurer with a mission to protect humankind's heritage around the world.

At the end of 2005, the N7W panel chose 21 candidates from the top 77 nominees that had earned the most votes, and these 21 are now in the final stage of the competition. The official N7W 21 finalist candidates were announced by the panel's President, Prof. Federico Mayor, on January 1, 2006 in Zurich.

The campaign were financed by Weber himself, aided by a small number of committed N7W Members. Now everybody can join these members and support the fondation.

Now, the N7W campaign is in its in the final stage, the official N7W 21 finalist candidates the final round of voting for the New 7 Wonders will continue throughout the half of 2007. Then, on July 7 The New 7 Wonders of the World will be announced during the Official Declaration ceremony in Lisbon, Portugal( he 07.07.07)

I find the election contrversial all except the Christ Redeemer , an statue, in Brazil are beautiful , architectural buidings that took years and show the genius engineers of the past.

I think the the 'wonders' were mixed ,  the sydney opera, the liberty statur , and eiffel tower shouldnt be there, maybe as modern wonders but not with the others

indeed!  accordding tyhe news  Brazil's Statue of Christ Redeemer, Peru's Machu Picchu, and Mexico's Chichen Itza pyramid were chosen along with the Great Wall of China, Jordan's Petra, the Colosseum in Rome and India's Taj Mahal as the favorites. The Statue of Liberty and Australia's Sydney Opera House were near the bottom of the list from the start.
How the four stones (so to speak)Britain's Stonehenge could compete with Macchu Pichu or Petra??

i voted too , my favorite Macchu Picchu, not any picture or video does i justice  to the real splendor of the citadel.

I identified as  for the position I was and the ones I want to go.
I think the the 'wonders' were combined ,  the quotes safari, the freedom statur , and eiffel structure should not be there, maybe as contemporary amazing things but not with the others
