TOURIST INFORMATION

The combined Airport, LOT Polish Airlines and Customs Information Point is located in the centre of the Departures hall under the flight information board; it is open 0600-2200 Monday-Sunday. Flight information may also be found at the Polish Airlines Flight Information stand which is open 0600-2200 Monday-Sunday. Tourist information is available in the Arrivals hall 0800-2000 Monday-Sunday. Passengers can obtain airport information (tel: (0)22 650 4100), flight information (tel: (0)22 650 3943 or 650 4220) and tourist information and hotel reservations (tel: (0)22 650 4423 or 650 4426).


AIRPORT FACILITIES

Money and communications: There is a bank in the Departures hall, open 0800-1800 Monday-Friday and 0800-1300 Saturday. There are also bureaux de change in both Arrivals and Departures. In addition to this, there is a post office in the Departures hall, open 0800-2000 Monday-Friday and 0800-1400 Saturday. Card telephones are provided; travellers should purchase telephone cards at the post office and at RUCH bookstalls
Eating and drinking: Airport catering services include a restaurant on the mezzanine level, and snack bars, ice-cream stands and self-service cafeterias on Departures levels and Arrivals levels.
Shopping: Shops and kiosks located in the landside area (Departures, Arrivals and mezzanine levels) sell newspapers, magazines, books, flowers, souvenirs, jewellery and other merchandise. Passengers on international flights can make purchases in various duty-free shops, located in the Departures (airside) area.
Luggage: There are left luggage services in the Arrivals hall, both in the airside baggage reclaim area and the landside Arrivals hall, which are open 24 hours a day.
Other facilities: Five mother and baby rooms are available on the Departures and Arrivals levels free of charge. A chapel is open in the Departures lounge during airport operating hours. An observation deck is open 0730-2000 Monday-Sunday and is located on the ground floor next to the Domestic Terminal. The airport also has a first aid medical centre, located on the upper level in the terminal building, available for all passengers and visitors to the airport. Trained first aiders are also on hand to assist those passengers who are unable to access the upper mezzanine level


SERVICE TO PASSENGERS WITH DISABILITIES

The International Terminal has lifts to all levels, both in the multi-storey car park and inside the terminal building between Arrivals and Departures levels (landside and airside). It also has toilets with special arrangements for disabled passengers. Wheelchairs are available on request from a handling agent. Trained first aiders are also on hand to assist those passengers who are unable to access the upper mezzanine level.


CONFERENCE FACILITIES

Conference rooms and audiovisual equipment are available to rent. There are three executive lounges in the transit area on the Departures level; passengers wishing to use the lounges should inform their travel agents when booking their flight.


CAR RENTAL

Several car hire agencies are located in the Arrivals hall. Large international agencies, including Avis (tel: (0)22 650 4872), Budget (tel: (0)22 650 4062), Europcar (tel: (0)22 650 2564), Hertz (tel: (0)22 650 2896) and National (tel: (0)22 650 4733) are present, as are local operators. Some travel agencies present at the airport also provide car hire services.


CAR PARKING

Three airport car parks are available: the multi-storey short-term car park has space for 1300 cars, and is located next to the terminal building; the short-term open-air car park has space for 300 cars, whilst the long-term patrolled car park has space for 820 cars. Both of these are located east of the multi-storey short-term car park.


DRIVING DIRECTIONS

The airport can be accessed from Zwirki í Wigury Avenue, which leads out of central Warsaw.


PUBLIC TRANSPORT

Rail:
Train: Local and international train tickets can be can be purchased at travel and tourist agencies located in the Arrivals and Departures halls. They can also be purchased from RUCH newspaper kiosks. Train tickets are on sale from Orbis travel agents in the arrivals hall.
Road:
Taxi: The taxi stand is located in front of the Arrivals hall. Bus: Bus tickets, can also be purchased at travel and tourist agencies located in the Arrivals and Departures halls. They can also be purchased from RUCH newspaper kiosks. The Intercity Polski Express bus company provides direct regular bus connections to 30 towns in Poland; tickets can be purchased from the driver. Bus stops are located immediately in front of the Arrivals hall between the terminal building and the multi-storey car park. Buses nos. 175 and 188 serve Warsaw, including the train station, the Old Town and the city centre


AIRPORT HOTELS

The Falcon Transit Hotel (tel: (0)22 650 4891), located on the Departures level in the transit area, is open 24 hours a day and has eight rooms. Travellers can make hotel reservations at travel and tourist agencies located in the Arrivals and Departures halls. An airport shuttle bus service operates to/from some hotels on request. The Gromado Hotel (tel: (0)22 609 9600) is located less than 1km (0.6 miles) from the airport and the Novotel Hotel (tel: (0)22 846 4051) is located 2km (1.2 miles) north of the airport. Both of these are located on the Zwirki í Wigury Avenue which leads to central Warsaw.
