AIRPORT FACILITIES

Money and communications: There are several banks; bureaux de change are also present at the airport, but do not give a good rate of exchange and it is recommended that passengers just change a small amount of money. The post office is open 0800-2000 Monday-Sunday and is located near the Domestic Departures area.
Eating and drinking: Restaurants are open 0600-last flight in both International and Domestic departures areas. There are also cafés at the airport.
Shopping: The airport has a variety of shops and duty-free shops.
Luggage: There is also a left luggage counter next to the International Departure Terminal entrance

CAR RENTAL

There are a total of six car hire companies at the airport, including Avis (tel: (0)361 701 770), open 0800-2200 Monday-Sunday, Toyota Rent a Car (International Arrivals hall tel: (0)361 753 744 and Domestic Arrivals hall tel: (0)361 755 033) and Bali Tax , which can be hired on a daily basis.

CAR PARKING

There is space for 2000 cars in one large car park, located next to the airport's teminal buildings.

DRIVING DIRECTIONS

The airport is situated at the southern most tip of the island, close to the resorts of Kuta, Nusa Dua and Sanur. It is 2.5km (1.6 miles) south of Kuta, which is accessible by road, but can also be reached by a stroll along the beach.

PUBLIC TRANSPORT

Road:
Taxi: If requiring a taxi, it is advisable to use the Airport Taxi Service, which is located to the left of the terminal exit. Prices for this service are fixed, whereas other taxi drivers tend to haggle. Prices for the airport taxis are displayed outside the terminal buildings and give passengers a rough indication of how much to expect to pay for a taxi hailed on the street. Bus: Buses leave from Tegal bus station for the airport (journey time: approximately 50 minutes). Passengers can also travel by Bemo (a chartered vehicle with driver which can carry up to 10 people). Bemos have to pay a fee to enter the airport grounds, so it is often cheaper to walk outside the airport gates and wait. Bemos wait in an area located to the left of the airport gates

AIRPORT HOTELS

There are no hotels within the airport grounds. There are however a number of three and four-star hotels located in the Tuban resort area, less than five minutes drive from the airport. The Kartika Plaza Beach Hotel (tel: (0)361 751 067) and Holiday Inn Resort Balhai (tel: (0)361 753 035) are both less than five minutes drive from the airport. The Karthi Hotel (tel: (0)361 754 810) offers a free transfer bus from the airport to the hotel.
