There is a central information desk on level 3 of the central area with multilingual staff. There is also a tourist information desk.

de change and a post office.
Eating and drinking: There are several bars and restaurants.
Shopping: There are duty-free shops (Departures only) and
many other shops, including a wide variety of clothing and gift shops.
Other facilities: There is a 24-hour medical emergency centre
and a pharmacy as well as executive lounges
Disabled travellers should
contact the relevant airline or the airport assistance service
in Area E, level 3. TDD telephones are available for hearing-impaired
passengers in the central information area; wheelchair-accessible
toilets can be found in the central area and in other places, whilst
wheelchair-accessible telephones are in the central area and by
the post office in Area 3. Disabled parking is available in all
car parks.
Medicom Multimedia Kiosks, offering Internet access, credit card phones and fax/photocopying services, are located throughout the terminal. Charge points for mobile telephone and laptop batteries can be found at the photography centre in the main concourse. The Munich Airport Centre has large presentation and event-hosting facilities (tel: (0)89 9753 4300). The business service centre, Munichcon (tel: (0)89 9759 3200; fax: (0)89 9759 3206) has well-equipped conference rooms located in the south office building.
Car hire companies include Avis , Europcar , Hertz , National and Sixt .
Underground car parks P1, P2, P3, P4 and P9 offer short-term parking facilities. Long-term parking can be found in multi-storey car parks P6, P7 and P8 and in the airport hotel underground P26 car park. All have disabled and women's parking spaces and offer direct access to the airport. Car park P41 at Nordallee offers weekly rates and is served by a free shuttle bus to the airport every 20 minutes.
The airport is located just off the Autobahn (motorway) 92 between Munich and Deggendorf and is accessible from four motorway exits. Connect to the A92 from the A99 Munich ring road from southern and eastern destinations. Alternatively, take the smaller Route 388 from Munich towards Erding, and turn off north for the airport just before reaching Erding.
Rail:
Train: Commuter trains S1 and S8 both depart every 20 minutes 0536-0016 Monday-Sunday
(S1) and 0406-0106 Monday-Sunday (S8) to various Munich stations (journey
time: 30-40 minutes), including the Hauptbahnhof and Ostbahnhof where connections
are available to major German cities and destinations in Austria, Switzerland
and Italy.
Road:
Taxi: Taxis are available from the airport to the city centre (journey time:
approximately 45 minutes). Bus: Transfer buses are available to many regional
destinations; Autobus Oberbayern runs a bus service to the Hauptbahnhof every
20 minutes 0755-2055 Monday-Sunday (journey time: 45 minutes), and to many
cities in the region. During large exhibitions, another service runs to the
München Messe exhibition centre every 30 minutes 0800-1800 (journey time:
45 minutes) and is free with a valid exhibition entry ticket
The Kempinski Airport Hotel (tel: (0)89 9782 2560) is located at the airport. There is also an automated hotel reservations service at the terminal. Munich hotels include Best Western , Hilton , Marriott and Sheraton .
