TOURIST INFORMATION

There are four information desks in the terminal. These are located in Arrivals Lounge A and at the international counters in Lounge F, in front of gates 19 and 29B.

Money and communications: There are several banks at the airport, open 0800-1600. Banks offer a bureau de change facility in the International Lounge from 0800-2200 and ATMs are available 24 hours. There is also a post office and mobile telephone rental service.
Eating and drinking: There are a variety of restaurants (including fast food outlets).
Shopping: There are a variety of shops.
Other facilities: There is a medical room in lounge B, as well as several pharmacies

SERVICE TO PASSENGERS WITH DISABILITIES

The airport is equipped with ramps, lifts and wheelchairs for travellers with physical disabilities. Car parking spaces for disabled passengers are provided in the car parks adjacent to the terminal building.

CONFERENCE FACILITIES

The airport has an international business centre (tel: (0)5 764 6900; fax: (0)5 764 6901) offering telephone and fax facilities 0800-2000 in the international zone on concourse E2, 2nd floor. The Airport Marriott Hotel (tel: (0)5 133 0033) has a 24-hour business centre with full telecommunications facilities, eight meeting rooms and secretarial services.

Short- and long-term parking is available close to the national and international areas of the terminal.

DRIVING DIRECTIONS

To reach the airport from central Mexico City, take Fray Servando Avenue then Circuito Interior northbound and follow signs to the airport (journey time: 25 minutes).

PUBLIC TRANSPORT

Rail:
Underground: The metro is cheap and quick, but crowded at rush hour. To reach the airport station, marked with an M sign, turn left out of the terminal and walk past the car park; the airport metro station is on line no. 5. For central Mexico City, change at Pantitlan (one stop) onto line no. 1 and travel to Insurgentes.
Road:
Taxi: Prepaid taxi tickets are available from the Authorized Taxi Service booth in baggage reclaim (journey time: approximately 45 minutes); authorized taxis are white and mustard yellow with an aeroplane logo. Travellers are strongly advised to take an authorised, prepaid taxi and to always lock taxi doors when inside. Bus: Major hotels run shuttle minibuses from the airport. There is also a regular airport bus to the city centre

Hotel reservation services are available at the airport. The Hilton Hotel (tel: (0)5 133 0505) is inside the terminal on the third floor and the Airport Marriott Hotel (tel: (0)5 133 0033) is located across the pedestrian walkway from Terminal B. The Hotel JR Plaza Aeropuerto (tel: (0)5 785 5200) is in front of the airport and the Hotel Aeropuerto Plaza (tel: (0)5 785 8522) is also very close to the airport. Mexico City hotels include the Holiday Inn , Hilton and Melia Reforma .
