Tourist information (tel: (0)6999 6073) is located in the Welcomers' Hall and is open 24 hours a day. The Passenger Services Centre (tel: (0)6999 7002) is located inside the check-in hall and is also open around the clock.
Money
and communications: There are two banks located inside
the Welcomers' Hall and several bureaux de change, open 24 hours
a day, in the Welcomers' Hall and the baggage reclaim area.
Eating and drinking: There are numerous restaurants and cafeterias
including a bistro on level three, a diner on level -1 and two cafeterias situated
inside the check-in and Welcomers' Hall. A snack bar is located in the Departures
lounge whilst a popular hamburger restaurant and drive thru' can be found directly
opposite the air terminal.
Shopping: There are tax-free shops, in both the Departures
lounge and arrivals hall, and non tax-free shops, located in both the check-in
hall and the Welcomers Hall. These include a sweet shop, newsagents, pharmacy,
florist, bookshop and toy shop.

Wheelchair-accessible
toilets, ramps and low-level payphones are located in the terminal.
Reserved parking spaces are located in the car park. Wheelchairs
are available on request from the Passenger Services Centre (tel:
(0)249 600; fax: (0)249 564).
There are three executive lounges at the airport. The Gerolamo Cassar executive lounge is located in Arrivals; the La Valette executive lounge is situated in the Departures lounge, immediately after security control; the Ewropa Lounge is situated in the Departures lounge and is operated by Air Malta. Internet access is available to lounge users.
Car hire companies are located in the Welcomers' Hall and include National (tel: (0)6999 6069), Budget (tel: (0)6999 6068), Europcar (tel: (0)6999 6507), Alamo (tel: (0)6999 6067), Avis (tel: (0)6999 6077), Sixt (tel: (0)6999 6460), Thrifty (tel: (0)6999 6344) and Hertz (tel: (0)6999 6078).
There are spaces for 650 cars in the car park (tel: (0)6999 6475), which is linked to the main terminal by a walkway. Car hire companies have a separate car park for the collection and return of rented vehicles.
On leaving the airport, take the main road to Marsa, which leads to Valletta. The city centre is clearly signposted.
Road:
Taxi: There is a full fixed fare taxi service (tel: (0)6999 6441) to all areas
of Malta. A taxi booth is located in the Welcomers' Hall where pre-paid tickets
may be purchased. Bus: Bus no. 8 departs regularly to/from Valletta and leaves
from a bus stop outside the check-in hall. The first bus leaves at 0600 and
the last bus leaves at 2230. Additional information is available from tourist

There are no on-site hotels but the necessary information and bookings for all of Malta's hotels can be obtained from the Tourist Information Office inside the Welcomers' Hall. Hotels close to the airport include the Golden Tulip Vivaldi Hotel (tel: (0)378 100), located 10km (6.2 miles) from the airport and the Hilton Malta (tel: (0)336 201), located 14km (8.7 miles) from the airport.
