Transfer Between Terminals: There is a free internal shuttle train between the east and west halls of the terminal building; there are also travelators to take passengers around the terminal building.


TOURIST INFORMATION

Airport Authority Information counters can be found on levels 5, 6 and 7. The Hong Kong Tourism Board offices are located in the Arrivals hall, level 5 and in the transit area, and are staffed 0700-2300; they provide brochures and an Internet information link, which is available 24 hours a day.


AIRPORT FACILITIES

Money and communications: Several bureaux de change counters, banks and ATMs are located throughout the passenger terminal. A post office is located in the Departures hall.
Eating and drinking: There are more than 150 food and drink outlets, many of which are open 24 hours a day.
Shopping: Shops including gift and duty free (Hong Kong SkyMart) are available.
Other facilities: There is a medical centre on level 6


SERVICE TO PASSENGERS WITH DISABILITIES

The airport has good physical access and plenty of wheelchair-accessible toilets. There are lifts, ramps and escalators around the airport. Car park spaces reserved for disabled drivers are available in car parks 1, 2, 3 and 4 with ramps and wheelchair access. Wheelchairs are provided free of charge by airlines, and lifts and telephones both have Braille signs.


CONFERENCE FACILITIES

The airport's Telecommunications and Business Centre is located in the PCCW HKT Business Centre, open 0700-2300. Services include Internet access, fax, telegrams, videoconferencing and local mobile telephone rental. Wireless broadband services are provided to passengers with their own laptops equipped with PC-LAN cards. Further conference and business facilities are available from the nearby Plaza Premium Lounge on the Departures level (tel: 2261 2622) and the Regal Airport Hotel (tel: 2286 8888).


CAR RENTAL

Limousine services are available from six companies with counters located in the Meeters and Greeters hall, and in the Ground Transportation Centre.


CAR PARKING

There is one undercover multi-storey car park (car park 4) and four open-air ground level car parks (car parks 1, 2, 3, and 5). Car parks 2 and 3 are short-term, whilst car parks 1, 4 and 5 provide short- and long-term spaces. Car parks 3 and 5 are only open during busy periods however. Complimentary 30-minute parking is available in all car parks.


DRIVING DIRECTIONS

From Hong Kong Island, drivers should follow road signs to Western Harbour Tunnel. Once out of the tunnel, drivers should drive along the West Kowloon Expressway; follow airport road signs and cross the Tsing Ma Bridge to the airport island. Then continue along North Lantau Highway to reach the airport.


PUBLIC TRANSPORT

Water:
Ferry: High-speed ferries run between the airport and Tuen Mun, with a shuttle bus serving the Chek Lap Kok Ferry Pier.
Rail:
Train: The Airport Express Line operates trains which leave the airport for Hong Kong station every ten minutes (journey time: 23 minutes) and also stop at Kowloon. Free shuttle buses from the railway stations serve various hotels.
Road:
Taxi: Taxis are readily available from the Ground Transportation Centre adjacent to the passenger terminal. Limousine: The airport is served by seven limousine companies. Bus: Public buses also leave from the Ground Transportation Centre. Coach: Citybus's frequent, wheelchair-accessible luxury Cityflyer coaches serve major destinations in Hong Kong, Kowloon and the region, while Long Win's Airbus serves the New Territories. Cross boarder coaches run by four operators offer regular services between the airport and major Guangdong cities in mainland China, 0630-1930


AIRPORT HOTELS

The Regal Airport Hotel (tel: 2286 8888) is connected to the passenger terminal by a covered walkway. Information counters operated by Hong Kong Hotels Association (tel: 2383 8380 or 2769 8822; fax: 2362 2383) can be found in the Arrivals hall. Hotels include the Holiday Inn Golden Mile HK , JW Marriott Hotel and Sheraton . Airport Express Line rail ticket holders can catch a free Airport Express shuttle bus to many hotel destinations from either Kowloon or Hong Kong stations.
