Number of Terminals: 3 (Terminal 1 is for charter flights
whilst the major airlines use Terminal 4). Terminal 2 is closed and will be
rebuilt over the next five years.
Transfer Between Terminals: A free shuttle bus runs between
the terminals and to car park P6 every 10 minutes.
Airport information desks (tel: (0)40 5075 0) are located on level 1 of Terminals 1 and 4. The airport office (tel: (0)40 5075 1010), located between Terminals 3 and 4 (Departures level), provides airport information, travel insurance and many other services.
Money
and communications: There are banks and ATMs in Terminals
3 and 4, as well as a post office and courier services.
Eating and drinking: There are many restaurants, bars and
cafés at the airport. Shopping: There are a variety of shops including
duty free.
Other facilities: The airport has a pharmacy and first aid
facilities. The airport's facilities are concentrated in Terminal 4
Disabled travellers are
asked to notify the airport information desk (tel: (0)40 5075 0)
of their needs. Disabled toilets can be found in all terminals,
as well as in all piers. There are disabled parking spaces at the
entrance to car parks and drop-off areas in front of terminals.
The airport office (tel: (0)40 5075 1010), between Terminals 3 and 4, can provide business services including fax, photocopying and typing. Fax machines and Internet terminals can be found in Terminal 4 on the Departures level. The Hanseatic Conference Centre in Terminal 4 (tel: (0)40 5075 3338) provides 11 meeting rooms of various sizes, as well as business services such as fax, photocopying and translation.
ADAC , Avis , Budget , Europcar , Hertz , National and Sixt are all represented at the airport; the booking counter is in Terminal 4.
There are short-term car parks for each terminal, with direct pedestrian access and disabled spaces. Car park P6 is a long-term car park linked to all terminals by a free shuttle bus.
The airport is situated between ring roads R2 and R3 on the A433 motorway, and is normally easily accessible (and well signposted) from central Hamburg, but there are currently delays on roads due to the construction of the A7 motorway which will connect the airport directly to Hamburg (journey time: 30 minutes).

Taxi: Taxis services to central Hamburg are readily available (journey time:
approximately 30 minutes). Limousine: Limousines also serve the airport.
Bus: Airport Express runs bus services to the nearby Ohlsdorf U-Bahn/S-Bahn
station every ten minutes, to Hamburg central station nonstop (journey time:
30 minutes) every 15-20 minutes, and to Altona train station every 30 minutes
(journey time: 31 minutes) from Terminals 1 and 4. Hamburg Bus Lines run
buses to the city centre and other points around Hamburg

Hotel reservations can be made at the Airport Office (tel: (0)40 5075 1010) between Terminals 3 and 4 on the Departures level.
