Information desks are located on level 1 of the airport and there is a tourist information helpline (tel: (0)928 579 130).

AIRPORT FACILITIES

Money and communications: A full service bank, open 0800-1415 Monday-Friday, and ATMs are located on the ground floor. There is a bureau de change in the EU Arrivals hall and in the check-in halls and a post office in the International Arrivals hall.
Eating and drinking: There are cafés and fast food counters.
Shopping: A variety of gift shops and concessions are located throughout the airport. Shops at the airport include a duty-free shop, clothes shop, sportswear shop, toy and sweet shop, several gift shops, a leather goods shop, a florists, a jewellers, a clothing accessories shop, an electrical goods and music shop, and a mini supermarket.
Other facilities: There is a medical service near EU arrivals and a pharmacy near the check-in desks. There are also baby rooms at the airport and a chapel on the second floor in the International area

SERVICE TO PASSENGERS WITH DISABILITIES

There are lifts and ramps in the terminal for disabled access. Disabled spaces are provided on each level of the car park.

CONFERENCE FACILITIES

A conference room is located in the corridor connecting the International and the EU check-in halls. Telephone booths are located around the terminal and accept cash or credit cards.

CAR RENTAL

Car hire companies include Avis and Hertz . Car hire desks can be found on the ground floor.

CAR PARKING

Short- and long-term parking is available in front of the terminal building.

DRIVING DIRECTIONS

Access to the airport from Las Palmas and destinations on the east coast is via the island's main north - south motorway GC-1. The airport is well signposted.

Taxi: Taxis are available from stands at the airport. Bus: There are frequent bus services between the airport and the capital, as well as other destinations on the island

AIRPORT HOTELS

There are no hotels at the airport although the four star hotel Gran Hotel Vecindario Aeropuerto (tel: 902 172 182) is five minutes south of the airport. Hotel reservation desks can be found in the Arrivals hall.
