TOURIST INFORMATION

The airport information desk is on the first floor, next to the UK Arrivals/Departures area. There are computer information kiosks on the ground floor and a Greater Glasgow and Clyde Valley Tourist Board (tel: (0)141 848 4400) in International Arrivals. Money and communications: The airport has bureau de change facilities on the ground and first floors and ATMs around the terminal building. There is a post office on the first floor of the terminal.
Eating and drinking: Restaurants and bars are concentrated on the first floor.
Shopping: Shopping, including duty free, is located on the first floor of the terminal.
Other facilities: There is a pharmacy on the first floor

SERVICE TO PASSENGERS WITH DISABILITIES

Facilities for disabled passengers include wheelchair-accessible toilets, ramps and lifts; passengers should advise their airline in advance of any special needs.

CONFERENCE FACILITIES

A business workstation with telephone and fax facilities is available on the first floor concourse, close to gates 1 and 2. There is also a business centre (tel: (0)141 847 5450) offering meeting rooms, conference and training facilities, an IT suite and full secretarial support. Payphone, payfax and modem facilities are all available.

CAR RENTAL

Hire companies include Alamo , Avis , Europcar , Hertz and National . Car hire desks can be found next to the UK Arrivals area.

CAR PARKING

Parking is currently restricted due to the construction of a new multi-storey car park in car park 2 which should be completed by March 2002. This will provide 2000 spaces over five levels and will be linked to the terminal by a covered walkway. Whilst work is being carried out, parking is restricted to car park 2; there are also an additional 650 temporary spaces in car park 4.

DRIVING DIRECTIONS

The airport is located about 20 minutes' drive from Glasgow, just north of the M8 motorway at junction 28, with good access to a network of main A roads serving the local area including the town of Paisley, which is approximately 2 minutes' drive from the airport.

PUBLIC TRANSPORT

Rail:
Train: The railway station in Paisley is 3km (2 miles) from the airport and is only a few minutes away by taxi or ten minutes by frequent local buses (the bus fare is included in a rail ticket bought at the airport public transport desk). There are eight trains an hour Monday-Saturday and five trains an hour on Sundays from Paisley to Glasgow Central rail station. Train services also run to Ayr and stations on the Clyde Coast.
Road:
Taxi: Metered taxis are available 24 hours a day from the front of the main terminal building. Bus: Shuttle buses to central Glasgow are run by Airport Express and Scottish Citylink. Buses depart every 15 minutes during the day and every 30 minutes in the evening (journey time: 20 minutes) to various stops, including rail and bus stations. Buses are also available to Greenock and Gourock (for ferry connections)
