TOURIST INFORMATION

There is an Airports Company South Africa information centre (tel: (0)31 451 6582) in both the Domestic and International Arrivals terminals. There is also a Teleguide hotel information board in Domestic Arrivals, as well as Mr Info touch screen information, also in Domestic Arrivals. In addition, there is a new tourism information office in Domestic Arrivals, which is operated by KwaZulu-Natal Tourism Authority, Durban Africa and Timeless Africa. This office offers information on events and attractions. The office is open 0700-2100 Monday-Friday and 0900-2100 Saturday-Sunday.

AIRPORT FACILITIES

Money and communications: ATMs are located on the ground floor of Arrivals. A bureau de change can be found on the ground floor of International Arrivals and Departures, open during the arrival and departure of International flights. A bureau de change (tel: (0)31 408 1408) is also located on the first floor of the Domestic Terminal and is open 0830-1530 Monday-Friday and 0800-1100 Saturday. Public telephones are located around the terminals and accept both coin and phonecard payment. A post office (tel: (0)31 408 1511) is also available in the Domestic Terminal, open 0830-1630 Monday-Friday and 0800-1200 Saturday.
Eating and drinking: There are also bars and restaurants provided by Travellers Retail Services (tel: (0)31 408 1336). Restaurants and pubs are located on the first floor of the Domestic Terminal and the first floor of the International Terminal.
Shopping: There are numerous shops at the airport, including a luggage shop, sweet shop, duty-free shop, mobile phone rental shop and bookshop.
Luggage: Trolleys are available from in front of the domestic and international terminals

SERVICE TO PASSENGERS WITH DISABILITIES

There are lifts, ramps, wheelchairs, disabled toilets and reserved parking for disabled passengers. With the new terminal upgrade which is currently in progress and due to be completed by August 2001, improved facilities will be created for disabled passengers.

CONFERENCE FACILITIES

The airport has a Domestic business class lounge (tel: (0)31 450 2246). The airport is currently constructing the ACSA VIP lounge & Conference facilities, which is due to be completed in mid-2001. For further details and bookings, passengers should contact Colin Naidoo (tel: (0)31 451 6609).

Car hire kiosks are located in the Arrivals terminal.

CAR PARKING

Car parking (tel: (0)31 408 1505) is available in both open-air and shaded areas, with space for a total of 1503 cars. Trolleys are available from the car park areas, which are within walking distance of the terminals.

DRIVING DIRECTIONS

The airport can be accessed from the M4 Southern freeway from Durban city centre.
