Alternatively, there are hotels close to the airport which provide business services. These include the Capital Airport Hotel (tel: (0)10 6456 4466) and the Airport Garden Hotel (tel: (0)10 6456 3388).

CAR RENTAL

Self-drive cars are not currently available but these services may be initiated by international companies as foreign business opportunities expand in China. Most visitors hire a car with a driver on a daily or weekly basis. A number of companies such as CITS and CTS offer to arrange this service for travellers.

PUBLIC TRANSPORT

Road:
Taxi: Metered taxis are available at the airport (journey time: 40-60 minutes). Bus: The Airport-City Shuttle Bus departs every 30 minutes from outside Arrivals and takes three routes into the city: Xidan, Gongzhufen and Zhongguancun. The most popular route is to Xidan in central Beijing, a short walk from the Forbidden City. The other routes are to Gongzhufen in western Beijing and to Zhongguancun in the city's northwest district; the shuttle also stops at major hotel
