TOURIST INFORMATION

Cancún visitors information booth is located at the main entrance to Terminal 2.

AIRPORT FACILITIES

Money and communications: ATMs are located throughout the terminal buildings and there is a bureau de change in both terminal buildings. Post boxes are located at Terminal 1 in the FBO building and in Terminal 2 by the main entrance.
Eating and drinking: The airport has a variety of fast-food outlets and restaurants. One restaurant is open 24 hours.
Shopping: There are a variety of gift shops at the airport. Some shops are open 24 hours. Opening hours for all facilities in Terminal 1 depend on flight operations; in Terminal 2, opening hours are generally 0900-2100. The airport is currently undergoing a renovation programme and facilities are being improved

SERVICE TO PASSENGERS WITH DISABILITIES

There are ramps at the airport where necessary and wheelchairs are available upon request. Disabled toilets are currently being installed.

CONFERENCE FACILITIES

Two small meeting rooms can be booked at the FBO building which is next to the Terminal 1 building (tel: 9 886 0185 or 886 0193 or 886 0183; fax: 9 886 0189). There will be a business centre by August 2001.

CAR RENTAL

Executive (tel: 9 886 0065), Hertz (tel: 9 886 0150), Thrifty (tel: 9 883 2525), Alamo (tel: 9 886 0168), Budget (tel: 9 886 0026), Avis (tel: 9 886 0221) and National (tel: 9 886 0152) are all represented.

CAR PARKING

Two car parks are available at Terminal 2 and one at Terminal 1; all three are open 24 hours a day. Car parks are patrolled by a security service.

DRIVING DIRECTIONS

Take Carretera (highway) Cancún-Chetumal until the Km 22 exit, and follow signs for the airport.

PUBLIC TRANSPORT

Road:
Taxi: An official taxi company provides individual and group services from the airport. Taxis can be paid for at the airport just after the arrivals hall. Bus: There is no bus service from the airport

AIRPORT HOTELS

There are no hotels at the airport. The Moon Palace Resort (tel: 9 881 6000) is a 10-minute drive from the airport near the Carretera Cancún-Chetumal (direction Riviera Maya). The Westin Regina (tel: 9 848 7400) is in the city's hotel zone and is a 15-minute drive from the airport on Boulevard Kukulcan.
