Money and communications: Facilities include a
post office in the Arrivals hall, open 0800-1900 Monday-Friday, bureaux
de change throughout and ATMs in the Arrivals hall and promenade.
Faxes are available around the terminal. Data ports are also available
for laptop use or travellers can use pre-installed PCs. Mobile telephones
can be rented from Locaphone in the Arrivals hall.
Eating and drinking: There are bars and restaurants throughout.
Shopping: There are a wide variety of shops including duty-free.
Other facilities: There are medical facilities at the airport

SERVICE TO PASSENGERS WITH DISABILITIES
The airport has toilets
which are accessible for disabled travellers. There are also lifts
between floors and wheelchairs are available on request.

CONFERENCE FACILITIES
The Skyport Corporate Meeting Centre
(tel: (0)2 714 0200; fax: (0)2 714 0201) is located on the fourth
floor on the mezzanine level and offers ten small meeting rooms
and secretarial services. Airport Forum (tel: (0)2 714 0770), located
in the Arrivals hall, provides facilities for telecommunications,
secretarial and other services. 3C in the Satellite, as well as
the upper floor of the Gallery of Light and the Arrivals Hall (3C
and Airport Forum) has ready-to-use PCs. Mobile telephones can
be rented from Locaphone in the Arrivals hall.

CAR PARKING
There are two short-term
car parks with direct access to the terminal and two long-term
car parks; Lock Park is located next to the terminal, whilst Car
Hotel (tel: (0)2 753 0110) provides a shuttle service every ten
minutes transporting passengers to/from the terminal; spaces in
the Car Hotel should be reserved 48 hours in advance. |
DRIVING DIRECTIONS
The airport is easily
accessible from both the Brussels inner and outer Ring Road (follow
the signs for Airport or Zaventem). |
PUBLIC TRANSPORT
Rail:
Train: The railway station can be found on level 1 below the terminal. Airport
City Express trains to the city (journey time: 15 minutes) depart every 15
minutes to Brussels' three main stations (Gare Centrale, Gare du Nord and
Gare du Midi). Direct trains are also available to Gent in the northwest,
De Panne on the north coast and Quievrain/Quevy in the southwest.
Road:
Taxi: Metered taxis are available outside the Arrivals hall; licensed cabs have
a yellow and blue emblem. Bus: De Lijn buses run every 45 minutes to the city
centre on a route that has plenty of suburban stops (journey time: 40 minutes).
MIVB/STIB express buses link the airport to NATO, the European Commission area
and the city centre (journey time: 30 minutes). Buses run 0500-2300, every 20
minutes between 0700 and 2100 and every 30 minutes outside these hours. Coach:
Scheduled coaches run to European cities including Antwerp, Eindhoven, Liege
and Valenciennes from the bus station on level 0, below the Arrivals hall

in the Arrivals hall (tel: (0)2 720 5161). The Sheraton Hotel (tel:
(0)2 725 1000) is located at the airport. There are also many hotels
close to the airport including the Holiday Inn (tel: (0)2
720 5865) and Holiday Inn Express (tel: (0)2 725 3380),
which are both five minutes away, and the Novotel and Sofitel hotels. |
