TOURIST INFORMATION

Information desks (tel: (0)5 5634 5050) are located in both Terminals A and B, on the Arrivals level and are open 0530-2300. Passengers can leave messages at the information desk, although no calls will be made over the PA system.


AIRPORT FACILITIES

Money and communications: There is a bank (tel: (0)5 5634 0293) in Hall A, on the Departures level which is open 0900-1215 and 1400-1730 Monday-Friday. There is also a bureau de change (tel: (0)5 5634 0340) located in the gallery on the Departure level. ATMs are located in both Halls A and B. There is a post office (tel: (0)5 5634 5097) in Hall A, on the Departures level, which is open 1330-1715 Monday-Friday.
Eating and drinking: The airport also has a number of bars and restaurants (tel: (0)5 5634 1850). Shopping: Shops can be found in both Halls A and B, and include newsagents, a gift shop and a perfumery. There is also a duty-free shop (tel: (0)5 5613 0258) in Hall A in the International Departure area.
Luggage: Left luggage can be claimed on the Departures level in the airport office (contact the Chamber of Commerce and Industry tel: (0)5 5634 5011). For items left on board planes, passengers should contact their airline.
Other facilities: The airport has a meeting point next to entrance 3, on the Arrivals level. It also has toilets in Terminals A and B, on levels 0, 1 and 2


SERVICE TO PASSENGERS WITH DISABILITIES

Wheelchairs are available from the information desk and from individual airlines. The airport also has lifts to enable easy access between floors. There are disabled toilets located throughout the airport. Disabled drivers may request assistance when parking by calling an attendant using the intercom located in the entrance to the car park terminals; there are spaces reserved for disabled drivers in each car park.


CONFERENCE FACILITIES

For conventions, passengers should contact Bordeaux Chamber of Commerce and Industry (tel: (0)5 5634 5439). Aircraft and helicopter transport is available on request from Airlec Air Espace (tel: (0)5 5634 0214) and Héli Périgord (tel: (0)5 5613 0029). There are photo booths in Halls A and B (on the departures level), photocopying facilities in both halls and a fax machine in Hall A. There is also a post office (tel: (0)5 5634 5097) in Hall A on the Departures level; this is open 0745-1230 and 1330-1815 Monday-Friday. Conference rooms and meeting rooms are available in all major hotels close to the airport.


CAR RENTAL

There are seven car hire companies at the airport: ADA (tel: (0)5 5634 6767), Avis (tel: (0)5 5634 3822), Budget (tel: (0)5 5647 8422), National/Citer (tel: (0)5 5634 2068), Europcar (tel: (0)5 5634 0579), Hertz (tel: (0)5 5634 5959) and Sixt Euro Rent (tel: (0)5 5634 0815).


CAR PARKING

The airport has four car parks, P0, P1, P2 and PR. It also has a car park reserved for the use of car rental drivers. Car park P0 is patrolled and is nearest the terminal. P1 and P2 are public car parks; P2 is a long-term car park; PR is a short-term car park. Drivers can use their credit card to enter and exit the car parks.


DRIVING DIRECTIONS

The airport can be accessed from junctions 11a or 11b off the ringroad surrounding Bordeaux. From the city centre, drivers can also access the airport through Mérignac, by taking Avenue Réné Cassin or Avenue JF Kennedy, towards Cap Ferret and the Bassin d'Arcachon.


PUBLIC TRANSPORT

Road:
Taxi: Over 50 taxis are always available at the airport. Companies serving the airport include Taxis Télé (tel: (0)5 5696 0034), Taxis 33 (tel: (0)5 5674 9506) and Euro Taxis (tel: (0)5 5632 8046). Bus: The airport can also be reached via shuttle bus. Jet'Bus (tel: (0)5 5634 5050) operates a shuttle service from Bordeaux city centre to the airport. Buses leave the airport every 30 minutes 0600-2245 Monday-Friday and every 45 minutes 0845-2245 Saturday-Sunday. They leave the Gare St Jean (Bordeaux Central Station) for the airport every 30 minutes 0530-2130 Monday-Friday and every 45 minutes 0530-2200 Saturday-Sunday

There are a number of two and three-star hotels located near the airport, including the Ibis (tel: (0)5 5634 1019), Climat de France (tel: (0)5 5655 9366), Mercure (tel: (0)5 5634 7474) and Novotel (tel: (0)5 5634 1025). A shuttle service is available on request from the airport information desk.
